⚠️ Beware of Fake BFT v1.8 Setups

Because of the current situation, several websites and social media pages are sharing files claiming to be the new BFT Tool v1.8.

Do NOT install random BFT v1.8 setups. Many of these files are unofficial and may be modified or unsafe. Security analysis has also flagged a file named BFTSetup1.8.exe as suspicious.

Don't trust a setup simply because its filename says BFT v1.8. Always verify the source and wait for confirmation from the official BFT channel or a trusted source.

What Should Technicians Do?

For now:

• Don't download random “BFT v1.8” setups.
• Don't replace your existing BFT installation unnecessarily.
• Avoid disabling antivirus just to run an unknown setup.
• Wait for an official announcement or verified release.
• Keep your existing setup safely backed up.

At the moment, there is also speculation that server-side work could be related to a future BFT release, but this has not been officially confirmed.

Stay safe and don't let the BFT downtime lead you into installing a fake or modified setup.
