Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer XPeng has demonstrated remarkable consistency in its delivery performance, achieving over 30,000 car deliveries for the fourth consecutive month in February 2025. This achievement underscores the company’s robust position in the increasingly competitive EV market.

February Delivery Highlights

In February, XPeng reported total deliveries of 30,453 vehicles. A significant contributor to this figure was the Mona M03 model, with over 15,000 units delivered. The Mona M03, equipped with a basic driver-assist system, has consistently surpassed 15,000 monthly deliveries since December 2024. Additionally, the P7+ electric sedan experienced strong demand, achieving over 30,000 deliveries within three months of its November 2024 launch.

Market Context and Competitor Performance

The January-February period typically experiences a seasonal slowdown in Chinese car sales due to the Lunar New Year celebrations. Despite this, XPeng maintained its delivery momentum. In contrast, other EV manufacturers faced varied results:

  • Xiaomi: Delivered over 20,000 electric cars for the fifth consecutive month in February. The company recently reduced the starting price of its luxury electric sedan, the SU7 Ultra, to 529,900 yuan ($72,750) from 814,900 yuan ($111,878).

  • Li Auto: Experienced a decline in deliveries to 26,263 units in February, down from 29,927 in January.

  • Nio: Saw deliveries decrease to 13,192 units in February from 13,863 the previous month.

  • Aito: Reported its lowest deliveries in a year, with 21,517 units in February.

Future Outlook

XPeng’s upcoming vehicle launches are anticipated to sustain and potentially enhance its delivery momentum. Analysts from Nomura have expressed optimism, suggesting that these new models provide “a good chance to extend its solid delivery momentum.”

Conclusion

XPeng’s consistent delivery performance, particularly amidst a challenging market environment, highlights its strategic positioning and the appeal of its vehicle lineup. As the EV market continues to evolve, XPeng’s ability to maintain and grow its delivery figures will be a critical factor in its ongoing success.
