Samsung has officially revealed the Galaxy A08, a new budget smartphone that brings several notable upgrades over its predecessor. The company has listed the phone on its regional websites, confirming its design, specifications, and available color options.

Samsung Officially Reveals Galaxy A08 With 6,000mAh Battery and Headphone Jack

The Galaxy A08 succeeds the Galaxy A07 and comes with a larger 6,000mAh battery, LPDDR5X RAM, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Samsung Galaxy A08 Display and Cameras

The Samsung Galaxy A08 features a large 6.7-inch PLS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels.

For photography, the phone has a dual-camera setup on the back. It includes a 50MP main camera along with a 2MP secondary camera. On the front, Samsung has added an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls.

6,000mAh Battery and LPDDR5X RAM

One of the major highlights of the Galaxy A08 is its 6,000mAh battery. This is an upgrade from the 5,000mAh battery available in the previous Galaxy A07.

Samsung has also confirmed that the phone uses LPDDR5X RAM. However, the company has not yet revealed the exact name of the chipset powering the device.

The Galaxy A08 will be available with 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of internal storage. Users will also be able to expand the storage through a microSD card, with support for cards up to 2TB.

Connectivity and Other Features

The Galaxy A08 supports 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.3. Samsung has also retained the 3.5mm headphone jack, which will allow users to connect wired headphones without an adapter.

The smartphone also carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.

The Galaxy A08 measures 8mm in thickness and weighs 197 grams. Samsung will offer the phone in Green, Dark Blue, and Silver color options.

Samsung has not officially announced the price of the Galaxy A08 on its regional websites. However, a listing from Virgin Megastore UAE has revealed that the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is priced at AED 625, which is approximately $170.

Samsung is expected to reveal more details about the Galaxy A08, including its availability and pricing in additional markets, in the coming weeks.
