Samsung has officially released the stable One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition in South Korea. This is the first major software update for this special foldable phone model since its launch. Previously, devices in the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Z Fold 6 have also started receiving similar updates.
According to SamMobile, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is currently receiving the One UI 7.0 update with Android 15, with software code F958NKSU2BYCK and a size of about 5GB. The update also includes the April 2025 security patch. To update, just go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
In terms of hardware, the Z Fold Special Edition has a slimmer design and a 200MP main camera, but the rest is almost identical to the Z Fold 6. Therefore, all the new features in the One UI 7.0 update will be similar to the Z Fold 6.
One UI 7.0 brings a fresher and more modern interface, with the notification panel and quick panel separated into two independent pages. Swiping from the middle of the screen will display notifications, while the quick panel will open when swiping from the upper right corner. In addition, the notification icon is redesigned into a larger “pill”, and the volume control bar is integrated directly.
This update also comes with a series of advanced Galaxy AI features such as voice-to-text conversion during calls. The widget interface is refreshed with many customization options for shape, color, transparency, etc. The home screen and lock screen have more flexible widget and clock options.
The Camera app has been redesigned for one-handed use, with all controls moved to the bottom edge. Modes and Routines have also been improved with more customizable conditions, including If-Else logic support, for smarter device automation.
