PAFLA & Innovista Join Forces to Empower Pakistan’s Freelancers

Pakistan’s freelancing community is set for a significant boost as the Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) partners with Innovista, a national initiative under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). This strategic alliance aims to equip over 50,000 freelancers annually with cutting-edge training, opportunities, and digital tools, shaping the future of independent work in Pakistan.

A Transformational Partnership

The agreement was officially signed in Islamabad, marking the beginning of a nationwide movement to enhance freelancing opportunities. The signing ceremony included Ibrahim Amin, Chairperson of PAFLA, and Hisham Sarwar, CEO of Innovista.

Both organizations have committed to hosting training events, workshops, and awareness sessions focused on equipping Pakistan’s youth with essential freelancing and digital skills.

Freelancers are no longer just a niche workforce—they are front and center in Pakistan’s growing digital economy, with a contribution of over $500 million in foreign exchange.

According to Ibrahim Amin: > “Freelancers are shaping the future of Pakistan’s economy. With more than 2.37 million active freelancers, Pakistan is among the top five countries in the global gig economy.”

PAFLA has already registered over 100,000 freelancers and has organized 35 seminars and 25 training sessions across the country, including collaborations with Google Inc..

Innovista’s CEO, Hisham Sarwar, highlighted that this collaboration will bring major advancements for Pakistan’s freelancers. The initiative will provide:
