PTCL Group Revenue Grows 62% in 2026 as Net Profit Reaches Rs 4.7 Billion

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) Group has reported strong financial growth for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, with consolidated revenue increasing by 62% year-on-year and net profit reaching Rs 4.7 billion.

The results reflect stronger performance across the group's fixed broadband, enterprise, wholesale, and mobile businesses. The integration of Telenor Pakistan into Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML), the company operating Ufone, has also contributed significantly to the group's expanded revenue base.

According to the financial results announced on October 22, 2026, consolidated operating profit increased by 181% compared with the same period last year, highlighting improvements in operating performance alongside revenue growth.

PTCL Group Revenue and Profit Increase in 2026

PTCL Group's financial results for the first nine months of 2026 show significant improvement across several key indicators.

Consolidated revenue rose by 62% year-on-year, supported by growth in broadband services, enterprise solutions, wholesale connectivity, and mobile operations. Net profit reached Rs 4.7 billion, while operating profit increased by 181%.

The group attributed its improved performance to the successful integration of Ufone and Telenor Pakistan, operational efficiencies, and stronger demand for telecommunications and digital services.

These results indicate a stronger financial position for the group as it continues expanding its network infrastructure and digital service offerings across Pakistan.

PTCL Flash Fiber Revenue Grows 26%

PTCL's fixed-line and broadband business continued to perform well during the reporting period.

The company's standalone revenue increased by 9% year-on-year, while Flash Fiber revenue grew by 26%. The increase reflects continued demand for high-speed internet connectivity among households and businesses.

PTCL's Business Solutions segment also recorded 15% revenue growth, supported by demand for enterprise connectivity and information and communications technology services.

Meanwhile, Carrier and Wholesale services revenue increased by 13%, and international business revenue grew by 11%.

PTCL reported an operating profit of Rs 11 billion and a net profit of Rs 3 billion. Its net profit improved by 343% compared with the corresponding period last year.

The company continues to expand its broadband offerings and enterprise services as demand for reliable internet, cloud infrastructure, and digital connectivity increases.

Ufone and Telenor Integration Boosts Mobile Business

The integration of Telenor Pakistan into PTML has been a major contributor to PTCL Group's financial performance.

PTML's revenue increased by 139% year-on-year during the first nine months of 2026. The growth was supported by the consolidation of Telenor Pakistan's operations and continued expansion across corporate and retail customer segments.

PTML reported an operating profit of Rs 33.5 billion, representing an increase of 181% compared with the same period last year.

By the end of the third quarter, PTML's subscriber base had exceeded 76 million following the addition of approximately 1.5 million subscribers during the quarter.

The company has also continued integrating its networks and expanding its 5G footprint across major cities. Network integration progressed across 25 districts by the end of September.

The combined mobile operation gives PTCL Group a larger customer base and opportunities to improve network efficiency, expand coverage, and introduce new digital services.

PTCL Expands 5G, Broadband and Digital Services

Alongside its financial growth, PTCL Group is investing in network development and new technology services.

PTML is prioritising network consolidation, 5G expansion, improved connectivity, and better customer experiences. The integration of Ufone and Telenor infrastructure is expected to support more efficient network operations and broader service capabilities.

PTCL's enterprise business is also benefiting from increasing demand for cloud computing, cybersecurity, managed services, data centres, and artificial intelligence infrastructure.

These services are becoming increasingly important as businesses and public-sector organisations modernise their operations and require more reliable digital infrastructure.

PTCL also introduced a limited-period Flash Fiber offer bundling a 100 Mbps internet connection with an IPTV set-top box. The company has continued developing consumer partnerships and digital service packages to attract customers.

U Bank Reports Improved Financial Performance

PTCL Group's financial improvement also extended to U Microfinance Bank, commonly known as U Bank.

The bank generated revenue of Rs 18.3 billion during the nine-month reporting period and returned to operating profitability after recording an operating loss in the corresponding period last year.

Its bottom-line performance improved by 84% year-on-year, indicating a recovery in its financial operations.

The improvement adds another positive element to the group's overall performance, as PTCL continues to operate across telecommunications, digital services, and microfinance.

PTCL Group Continues Digital Inclusion Initiatives

In addition to commercial growth, PTCL Group continued its digital inclusion and social development programmes during 2026.

Under the Ba-Ikhtiar programme, approximately 2,100 women across 22 districts completed training in digital marketing, e-commerce, and digital financial literacy.

Participants also received Ufone SIM cards with free connectivity and access to UPaisa wallets, helping them participate in digital services and economic activities.

PTCL also partnered with ConnectHear to introduce SILA, an artificial intelligence-powered sign-language solution, at selected customer service centres in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

These initiatives aim to improve access to digital tools, support economic participation, and make telecommunications services more accessible to underserved communities.

What PTCL Group's Results Mean for Pakistan's Telecom Industry

The latest financial results highlight the growing importance of consolidation, broadband connectivity, and digital infrastructure in Pakistan's telecommunications industry.

The integration of Ufone and Telenor Pakistan has substantially increased PTCL Group's mobile revenue and subscriber base. Meanwhile, growth in Flash Fiber and enterprise solutions demonstrates continued demand for broadband and business technology services.

The expansion of 5G infrastructure and cloud-based services could provide additional opportunities as businesses and consumers increasingly depend on digital connectivity.

However, maintaining this growth will depend on network investment, service quality, effective integration, and the group's ability to manage operating costs.

Conclusion

PTCL Group has delivered a strong financial performance for the first nine months of 2026, recording 62% revenue growth, a 181% increase in operating profit, and net profit of Rs 4.7 billion.

The integration of Telenor Pakistan into PTML, growth in Flash Fiber, stronger enterprise services, and improved performance at U Bank have all contributed to the group's progress.

As PTCL Group continues investing in broadband, 5G, and digital infrastructure, its performance will remain an important indicator of developments in Pakistan's telecom sector.
