While users are eagerly awaiting the stable version of One UI 7.0, Samsung has announced details about its next security patch. The March 2025 security update has now been confirmed and can be rolled out to eligible Galaxy phones and tablets soon.

According to information from Samsung’s security page, this patch fixes a total of 58 security bugs, including issues related to the Android operating system and Samsung’s own software. This update will be available to compatible devices soon to improve system security and stability.

This patch includes 51 fixes from Google and 7 fixes from Samsung. Of these, 11 security bugs are rated as critical, which can greatly affect user data, while 40 other bugs are high-risk and need to be fixed immediately. One of the patches from Google in the March update actually came from last month’s patch. Additionally, there are three bugs that do not affect Samsung devices but are included in this update to ensure comprehensive security.

Samsung has also addressed a number of issues related to Bluetooth Auracast, the Gallery app on Galaxy Watch, MAC address, and invalid access control to improve the user experience.

In addition to the security patches, Samsung is expected to release the stable version of One UI 7.0 for high-end phones and tablets in April. Meanwhile, mid-range and low-cost devices may have to wait until May to receive the update.

There are rumors that Samsung has canceled One UI 7.1 and One UI 7.1.1 due to the slow development progress of One UI 7.0. Instead, the company will likely move straight to One UI 8.0 later this year to optimize performance and provide a better user experience.

Currently, users can check and update the March 2025 security patch by going to Settings, selecting Software Update, then tapping Download and Install on their device.
