TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G Price in Pakistan: Is the Rs. 99,999 Phone Worth Buying?

TECNO has launched the POVA Curve 2 5G in Pakistan for Rs. 99,999, bringing a combination of long battery life, a slim body and 5G connectivity to the upper mid-range smartphone market. The device is designed for users who want a phone that can handle long days of gaming, streaming, browsing and multitasking without frequent charging.

Its biggest talking point is the 8,000mAh battery packed into a body measuring just 7.42mm thick. TECNO also highlights a curved 144Hz AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G processor and a 50MP primary camera.

But with a price close to Rs. 100,000, does the POVA Curve 2 5G offer enough value? Here is a closer look at its specifications, battery, performance, cameras and features.

TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G Price in Pakistan and Availability

The TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G is available across Pakistan in an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration for Rs. 99,999. The phone officially launched in the country on October 15, 2026.

TECNO has also announced promotional savings through selected purchasing channels. Eligible buyers using PalmPay's instalment service can receive a Rs. 5,000 discount, while online shoppers may find a similar discount through TECNO Fans vouchers on Daraz, subject to the applicable offer terms.

Customers should confirm current stock, eligibility and final payable prices with the seller before purchasing, as promotions can change.

8,000mAh Battery in a Slim Smartphone Body

Battery life is the main reason to consider the POVA Curve 2 5G. Its 8,000mAh battery offers substantially more capacity than the batteries found in many conventional smartphones.

For users who spend hours on social media, play mobile games, watch videos or travel frequently, this larger battery could reduce the need to carry a power bank or search for a charging outlet during the day.

Despite the battery size, the phone measures approximately 7.42mm in thickness and weighs 195 grams. TECNO positions it as the slimmest phone among devices equipped with an 8,000mAh battery.

Actual battery life will depend on factors such as screen brightness, mobile signal strength, gaming sessions and background applications. Heavy 5G use and high-refresh-rate gaming can consume more power than light everyday tasks.

45W Fast Charging and Reverse Charging

The device supports 45W wired fast charging, with TECNO stating that a full charge takes approximately 82 minutes under its specified conditions.

It also supports 10W reverse charging, allowing the phone to provide power to compatible accessories or other devices. Bypass charging is another useful feature, particularly for gaming sessions when users want to reduce the amount of charging power passing through the battery.

TECNO says the battery is designed for up to 2,000 charging cycles. Actual long-term battery health will depend on usage, charging conditions and temperature.

Curved 144Hz AMOLED Display

The POVA Curve 2 5G features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. This combination aims to provide rich colors, strong contrast and smoother motion when scrolling through apps or playing supported games.

The high refresh rate can make animations and compatible games feel more responsive than on a conventional 60Hz display. However, the benefit depends on whether the app or game supports higher refresh rates.

TECNO advertises peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. Peak brightness figures are typically achieved under specific conditions, so everyday brightness may vary depending on the content displayed and the surrounding environment.

The phone also features a high touch-sampling rate and anti-mistouch technology intended to improve touch accuracy during gaming. Its display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G Performance

Powering the POVA Curve 2 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset. The processor is designed to support everyday multitasking, 5G connectivity and mobile gaming.

The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, providing room for apps, games, photographs and downloaded media. Buyers should still check how much storage is available after the operating system and pre-installed applications occupy their share.

TECNO also includes Ice Cooling 3.0 to help manage heat during demanding use. The company claims the phone can deliver 90 minutes of Free Fire gameplay at 60 frames per second under its stated testing conditions. Actual frame rates and temperatures can vary with game settings, ambient temperature and software updates.

For buyers who play competitive mobile games, the display's refresh rate, touch response and cooling system are useful features to consider alongside the processor.

5G Connectivity and Signal Features

As its name suggests, the POVA Curve 2 5G supports fifth-generation mobile connectivity. The phone is designed for users who want a device ready for compatible 5G networks where the service is available.

TECNO also promotes enhanced signal performance, including support for multiple 5G bands and technologies intended to improve connectivity in challenging locations. Real-world performance will depend on local network availability, supported bands, carrier settings and surrounding conditions.

In Pakistan, buyers should confirm that their mobile operator supports the relevant 5G service and that the phone's regional variant is compatible before relying on 5G connectivity.

50MP Rear Camera and AI Photography Tools

The camera system includes a 50MP primary rear camera and a 2MP macro camera. A 13MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.

This setup is suitable for everyday photography, although the camera system is not the device's main selling point. Users who prioritize portrait quality, night photography, zoom or advanced video recording should compare real-world samples before making a purchase.

TECNO adds several AI-based editing tools, including:

• AI Eraser 2.0: Designed to remove unwanted objects or people from photographs.
• AI Flare Remover: Intended to reduce glare and haze in supported images.
• Image-to-Live: Converts selected still images into animated content.

The usefulness of these tools will depend on the software version, supported features and the complexity of each image.

Design, Durability and Available Colours

The POVA Curve 2 5G uses a curved-screen design with styling inspired by futuristic spacecraft. TECNO combines flowing lines with a distinctive rear camera arrangement to give the phone a more striking appearance.

The device is available in three colour options: Melting Silver, Mystic Purple and Storm Titanium.

It also carries an IP64 rating for dust protection and resistance to water splashes. This rating does not mean the phone is waterproof, and users should avoid submerging it in water.

TECNO additionally highlights SGS-certified drop testing from heights of up to 1.5 metres. Such testing does not guarantee that every device will survive every drop, so a protective case remains a sensible choice.

Smart Features and Ella AI Assistant

Beyond the hardware, TECNO promotes software tools designed to make everyday communication more convenient. Its Ella assistant offers features such as supported two-way call translation, WhatsApp summaries and question-and-answer functions.

AI noise cancellation is also designed to improve voice clarity during supported calls. FreeLink 2.0 is another advertised feature, intended to support calls and messages between compatible devices over a limited distance even when conventional network coverage is unavailable.

Availability and performance can depend on device compatibility, software version, regional support and the conditions in which these functions are used.

TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G: Key Specifications

Is the TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G Worth Rs. 99,999?

The answer depends on what matters most to you.

The POVA Curve 2 5G makes a strong case for users who prioritize battery capacity, a slim design, a smooth AMOLED display and 5G support. Its 8,000mAh battery is the headline feature, while the 144Hz display and gaming-oriented features add to its appeal.

However, buyers who care most about photography may find the 50MP main camera and 2MP macro setup less compelling than phones focused on camera versatility. At this price, it is worth comparing alternative smartphones for image quality, software support, performance and after-sales service.

The advertised IP64 rating is useful for everyday dust and splash protection, but it should not be mistaken for full waterproofing. Similarly, battery endurance and gaming performance will depend on individual usage rather than specifications alone.

Final Verdict

At Rs. 99,999, the TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G targets buyers who want a large battery without carrying an unusually bulky phone. Its combination of 5G connectivity, an 8,000mAh battery, a 144Hz curved AMOLED screen and a slim profile gives it a distinctive position in Pakistan's smartphone market.

If long battery life and gaming-oriented features are your priorities, the phone deserves a closer look. If camera quality or the best all-round performance matters more, compare it with competing phones before spending your money.

Bottom line: The TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G is built around endurance and design. Whether it is the right buy depends on how much value you place on its unusually large battery and slim body.
